Beach Fun

I love those beach days in which you bring your camera. Then you have some really cool friends who have photoshop and know how to work it. Makes for some really cool pictures.

Memorial Day Lanterns

I love holidays, I love lanterns, I love good times and I love this girl Char!!

After spending a day at Electric Beach, the guys took the kiddos home and we went to the show.
On our way we stopped at Target and washed up in the bathroom!
I know  fancy!!
Just arriving at the show, Char and I.

It was pretty amazing. The canoes carrying all the lanterns.

Char took some really amazing shots. These lanterns were handed out and people were able  to write on them and  set them free.  I loved it!

Seriously...this is such a beautiful shot, not even photo shopped or touched up at all.
Good job Char!

I'm going to miss this girl!

50th State Fair

We made a trip to the State Fair.
It was AWESOME!!
Family tourist like picture at the start, these are a  must.

Bells and I had tons of fun on the Merry Go Round Horse Thing. I believe that is what the sign said anyway.

These  two stinkers are so cute. They were so excited the whole  time. Well Bells got a little cranky at the end. Who wouldn't? It was time to go.

I wish I had the camera ready on the first trip around....
PRICELESS!!
Miah had so much fun on this ride with the girls.

Cute little Bears!!

Ahhhhh...Lion Got Me!!

Another priceless shot, I love Char's face. Her and I had more fun then the girls did. It totally rocks to be bigger...you go faster!!

Bells was like what the POOP just happened. Why did you take me on that?

Lion show was amazing!! The lionesses showin' their stuff!!

The white mail lion.
He was very handsome!

I love the Fair. It reminds me of all the wonderful childhood memories I have. My parents rock and I hope I am half as cool as they are!!

Koko Head Trail

These pictures are all kind of messed up but please stay with me. I keep telling myself, only a few more months till I will have a computer.
I CAN'T WAIT!!
We, well me (Shelle) decided to have a fun family day and hike Koko Head. It was fun to me but Miah didn't think so. Mostly because we had Bells with us and the hike is straight up. The trail was an old set of train tracks. I would love to go back and run it. I'm a little weird like that.

I think this picture is about 1/4 the way. Still happy!

This was one of the views from  the top.
Seriously, it was amazing!

Another view...

My sexy husband looking over to the other side.

This picture was at Sandy Beach. I love it. Miah looks  completely relaxed and happy.
This is our home!!

Family shot at the lookout of a blow hole and Passion Beach.
What a lovely bunch!

Passion Beach....oooo la la!!

This is at the bottom of the hike. The elevation is crazy!!

A few tips, don't go at mid day....it was HOT!!
Make sure your husband knows what he is getting into.
Make sure you wear Nike!

Sunday Afternoon Perfection

We went to visit Auntie Meredith a few Sundays ago. We had been planning to go for some time but just never had time. She lives up  in Pupukea. It is such a beautiful place. There is a State Park back there right by her house, with hundreds of acres to explore.
She wanted us to hike and go horse back riding, no pulling our leg!!
First things first, Bells wanted to bring the horses a snack. Apples and bananas it was.

I went riding first and then we put a helmet on Bells and off we went.

She loved it!

She told us to come back more often because the horses need to be taken out more.
Deal!

Here Bells is not happy because it was time to go.

Thank you Auntie Meredith for a perfect Sunday afternoon!

Sunset Beach

We spent a few hours at Sunset Beach the other day. It was HOT. Did I mention that summer is here? Well it is and all you want to do is be at the beach, in the calm, blue / green ocean.
Daddy went out snorkeling almost right away. He couldn't stop talking about how perfect it is and he has to find his girls some treasures. Bells and I worked on out tan for about 35 seconds and then she wanted to swim.
I should of worked on my tan a little longer! I swear she is my child, many people here don't believe me. Besides the tan skin and eyes, that girl is ALL Mommy!
Maybe I will get a pic of me at the same age and you will see.

Look what Daddy found for us! Bells loved it. She kept looking through it and telling me she was looking for her pirate treasure. I love this picture, I caputred her eye perfectly!

I laugh when I hear people say I just hate the sand. Well I have to let them in on a secret. They live on an Island...there is sand EVERYWHERE!!

We got over the sand and embrace it. We have sand in our hair, our fruit snacks, our car, sometimes our bed after a long day at the beach and yep we have sand where the sun don't shine!
But we love it!

Please excuse the battered up eye, she got hit by a girl on a bike. Poor little girl! She got a bloody nose, scrapes, bruises and swelling.
She is tough thouh and just wanted to watch Jurrasic Park and Cuddle.

I love the beach, always have always will. I went to the beach almost daily in Alaska too. It had a different beauty to it. I will admit I am a little scared to not live by the ocean, I am excited to find different adventures and it helps me to know someday we will be back living in Hawaii.

Our New Home

Midwestern University Dental School
Glendale, Arizona

Accepted

We will leave our home of Hawaii and head to live in Arizona for at least 4 years.
We are really excited about this move but will miss our home here in Hawaii.
There is no other life besides Hawaii life. It has a whole different feel to it and is just amazing. You can't feel this just by visiting on vacation but rather living here for at least a year.
Miah has worked so hard these last few years and he deserves this. He is ready to take the plunge. I too am ready, a new place to decorate and guess what?
I have running buddies there already. My team (Team Victorious) we have already been in contact and I CAN'T wait to have somebody who loves to run because it runs in their veins. There are not many of us out there but I am way excited. Did I mention, we have great friends who live just 15 -20 minutes away who are attending Medical School. They were here with us and we are all just heading to Arizona together.
My Dad will be retiring in December and they have a house already in Arizona, which is just under an hour away. I am way excited to have my Mom and Pops by me. It will really help the move. Bells is pumped for the castle bed her Daddy and Poppa will be building her. That is all she talks about. Castle bed, dragons and dinosaurs in her room.

We are getting pretty busy with trying to get things sold, packed and just spending family time at the beach or hiking. The weather has been amazing and is perfect! Once again our computer is dead...yep that will make 2 power strips, one laptop, one computer (3 times) DEAD! Yep the same stinking outlet at TVA. Will they do anything like they claim they will. Nope, they paid us back for the first power cord and then when we brought in the latop...they said no way, it isn't the outlet. This was even after they tested it and said it was faulty. Oh you have to love TVA Housing. NOT!
So we will be without computer until we get to Arizona. No way are we buying a new computer here just to have our outlets screw it up too. So when I get the chance to come to campus and use a computer I will update.

Glad summer is here....we were in need of some nice family beach time.
